Decorating Christmas Trees

The top tree is team Thunders tree. And the second tree is team Bolts tree.

On Monday, December 09, 2013 our school had team competitions. There are two teams, team Thunder and team Bolt. The thing that we had to do is decorate a Christmas tree. Both of the Christmas trees are really cool .To decorate the trees we had, Ornaments, Stars, Lights, Ribbon, Beads on a string, Tinsel, Etc. It was really fun decorating the trees. The team competitions were K-12. Team competitions are really fun!!

Book Fair

This week we has BOOK FAIR!! It is a week when you can by books at our library, sadly its over now. Everyone lines up at the door to get in, and once you get in it is crowded. There is many different books for everyone. Children books, young teenagers, teenagers, and great gifts. There is also pens, pencils, erasers, and more cool things.

Christmas Concert

On December 19 2013,our school is haveing a Christmas Concert. Hope you can make it, and if you can have a great time! There will be a performance by the k-6 elemantery, by the 7-9 class, and 10-12 class. All of the kids are working very hard to make this a great concert, so show your support by coming, Merry Christmas!!!

Team Banners

So last year in our teams we started team banners but we kind of abandoned them. On Wednesday, November 13th we finiish ed them. Here they are:

Halloween

Thursday was Halloween, and we had a great time here in the 5/6 class! We had cupcakes, apple and orange shish kabobs, and cookies. We also got to carve pumpkins with Ms. Reichert.

Supporting & Celebrating Success

This week in my school is Education Week. Our theme this year was Supporting and Celebrating Success,
and I think this was a really great topic. over the past 6 days we have doing many things that relate to this topic.

On Sunday...
We kicked things off with a delicious fall supper prepared by the SRC of my school.

On Monday...
We had delicious leftovers from our fall supper and had a great game of Pictionary with our school teams Bolt and Thunder! (woo hoo way to go Bolt for winning)

On Tuesday...
We had Sheena Koops, a Saskatchewan author/songwriter, come and speak to us about what success she has achieved. (Check out her blog. Click HERE)

On Wednesday...
We played math Jeopardy with our school teams. It was awesome!

On Thursday...
We all had reading buddies so we spent 15 minutes reading with a partner.

On Friday...
We had a talent show! We had comedians, singers, and dancer which was a lot of fun!

Happiness is when someone is happy.

I value happiness because then you can be happy and not a crabby mic crab crab.

I value positivity in myself.

Positivity is when you’re pump to do something.

I value positivity because then I can be always be positive.

I value caring in myself.

Caring is when you about really care something or someone.

I value caring because then you can care about stuff.

I value honesty in a friend.

Honesty is when you tell somebody everything they ask.

I value honesty in a friend because then your friend wont lie to you.

I value caring in a friend.

Caring is you really care about someone or something.

I value caring in a friend because then they will be nice to you.

I value happiness in a friend.

Happiness is when you’re really pumped to do something.

I value happiness in a friend because then your friend won`t be all crabby.

Values

In health class we learnt about different values. We talked about what values are, and different characteristics we value in each other, our friends, and ourselves. Then, we had to reflect on 3 different characteristics we valued in ourselves and 3 we value in our friends and WHY we value them.

I value love in myself. Love is caring about someone else. I value love because it is caring and love is cool to have.

I value trust in a friend. Trust is not lying. I value trust because

I value trust in others. Trust is telling the truth. I value trust because I can trust my friends if they tell the truth.

I value friendship in others. Friendship is having close friends. I VALUE Friendship because I like having friends and having fun with them.

I value my mom. My mom is someone special to me. I value my mom because she’s special to me and she gave birth to me and I love her.

This week we had exchange students from Vancouver and we had ALOT of fun. At the end of the week we had a supper the Vancouver people had to prove they are Saskatchewanians by eating grain and making bubble gum and wearing a hoodie with their whole body .
